Carrot Gardens

I saw this idea in a magazine the other day, so after a trip to the store, we tried it out. There's nothing better than a craft and a snack all in one!

If you want to try these you will need:
-Vanilla Wafers
-Oreos
-chocolate frosting
-green and orange Mike and Ike's
Instructions:
-Lay a vanilla wafer on a plate, and attach wafers to each long side with frosting.
-Cut a wafer in half, and attach to the short ends with frosting.
-Put a mixture of crushed Oreos and frosting in your "planters".
-Cut a slit in the top of an orange Mike and Ike, and then put a small piece of a green Mike and Ike in the slit, and then squeeze it together.
-Plant your carrots in the planters.
-Enjoy!

Big boys in their bunk beds!

We finally caved, and got the boys bunk beds. They were absolutely done with their cribs, but I was having a hard time taking that final step out of babyhood. *sniff, sniff* They are LOVING their beds and feel so grown up! Coleson claimed the top bunk right away, and has been doing great. We have the option of taking them apart to make two beds, but the boys have been following the rules pretty well, so we'll see. These pictures were from their first night in the beds, which was about a week ago. Since then, we have painted and redecorated. I have a few more projects to finish up, and then I'll post some before and after pictures. No more baby nursery in our house. :(
The only problem that we've had is that Coleson's internal alarm clock is apparently set to 6:00 am. While this might not seem early for some of you, it is excruciatingly early for me! I have been dragging big time these days. He made it until 6:45 am for the first time in 2 weeks, but that's still not good enough. We have tried later bedtimes and cutting out the nap, but it hasn't made a difference. I'm loving my coffee these days, and I'm getting a lot more done since my day is an hour longer!

Home Tour

I got this idea from another blog the other day, and I decided to invite you all in to see a few pieces of our home. I love looking through other people's houses. I love to see details and get ideas. Now that the boys are finally past their super destructive phase, I'm starting to redecorate and set a few more things out. I hope you enjoy your little tour! I would love to see a little peek into your houses too if you want to share! :)

Sunday Snow Day

Yesterday was the perfect snow day! I love snow, but I don't like driving in it, so snow that comes and goes in 24 hours is perfect! Nick was at his parent's house helping with a plumbing emergency, so it was just me and the kids. I just followed them around and took pictures, but it was fun watching the two little guys take it all in! Ava grabbed the camera from me for a few minutes, so I'm even in a few pictures. :)
***Carter definitely gets a taste of his own medicine from Coleson! I love it!
Notice the lovely snow ball in my hair!
She wanted to shovel the snow so daddy didn't have to do it when he got home. :)

So creative! They did almost all of it by themselves!
Cold little hands
Coleson had just nailed Carter in the head with a snowball!
Of course HE would eat it!

This guy wasn't so sure about all the white stuff....typical Weston.

Always Wrestling Around

These two monkeys can't make it 10 minutes without wrestling. They are constantly chasing each other around the house giggling and trying to get me to "save" them. It's pretty cute that they have so much fun together, but one of them usually ends up getting hurt, and then it's not so cute anymore.
I was playing around with my camera the other day, and Ava came in to talk to me. I was taking a few pictures of her, when someone came and attacked her.

Love these guys!

Thing 1 and Thing 2 and the Cat in the Hat

Ava had Be Excited About Reading (BEAR) week last week. Her and her friend, Kloe, decided to be Thing 1 and Thing 2. Kloe's mom and I were so excited that they came up with it on their own, so we got busy with the costumes. She found the wigs and the red thermals, and I got the pants and made the shirts.* They were adorable, and it was so perfect that there was a Cat in the Hat in their class too!

*Instead of spending $15 each on the shirts, I made them!! I got red shirts from Michaels for $2.50 each and also picked up some iron on transfer paper. Then I made the logo's in photoshop, printed them onto the transfer paper with my home printer and ironed them on. It was so easy and ended up costing about $5 per shirt...not too shabby!

Twin Bum Bums

Be prepared to have a serious urge to pinch some cute little bum bum cheeks! I have a weekness for little boys in boxer briefs...their little bums look so cute! When Nick was giving the boys some good morning cuddles yesterday, I was snapping away. I love the way that they love their daddy! PRECIOUS!
LOVE this!
They surprisingly love to get their picture taken right now, and are constantly reminding me to "take picture"! They give me some pretty good cheeses too!

Beautiful Mess

Why doesn't he wear bibs anymore??? Good question, because he obviously still needs them! I guess no one needs to ask why I spend half of my life in the laundry room, because here's some proof for you! Even with his dirty face and crusty shirt, his big blue eyes melt me. I just can't get enough of that crazy, quirky, silly, beautiful little mess!
Did I mention that this picture was taken after lunch...we change their shirts at least 2 times every day. (Times 2 equals lots of laundry!) We also change pants and underwear quite a bit, but that's just due to bad aim. :)
