Sort of Sitting at Seven Months

The twins are not too sure about this whole sitting thing yet. Coleson is quite a bit better at it....Weston has some trouble with that big belly in the way! They are both improving and will probably be sitting up by themselves very soon!

Weighing in

We had our 6 month well check yesterday...
Weston: 18 lbs. 6 oz. (75th percentile)
27 3/4 inches (90th percentile)
Coleson: 17 lbs. 9 oz. (50th percentile)
27 3/4 inches (90th percentile)
The boys looked great! Coleson has a little ear infection, but he hasn't even noticed! The doctor said not to worry about treating it unless he has a fever or seems to be in pain. I can hardly believe my tiny "preemies" are now giant chunksters! Thank God for these healthy boys!

And while we are talking weight:
Ava: 45 pounds
Carter: 40 pounds

6 1/2 months

Baby News: We are both approximately 17 pounds. (They go to the doctor for a check-up Friday, so I'll correct myself if I'm wrong.) We talk and laugh constantly! We love eating our baby food...even prunes! We enjoy walks, books, naps and our johnny jumper.

Weston is the quieter one that always smiles. He is very good natured and easy going..unless he's hungry! He is already a home body- he doesn't eat or sleep well when he's not at home. He is our early riser of the two and wakes up talking and squealing! Weston is a good eater, but gags if he doesn't like something... I wonder where he gets that from??!! He loves bath time more than anything...poor Coleson gets splashed and kicked like crazy!

Coleson will eat ANYTHING and probably eats more than his brother (don't ask me why he's smaller...maybe he has a good metabolism!) He needs to know you before he warms up to you, but when he does, he's such a goof ball. He loves to sleep in and sleeps right through Weston's noisy morning wake-up routine! He still sucks his thumb to get himself to sleep, and he's starting to do it more during the day. He screams and jabbers alot...usually when I'm trying to talk on the phone!

These guys have completely completed our family, and we are so blessed!

Coffee Chaos

I have coffee with a few of my high school friends once a week, and these are 4 out of our 9 kids. There are also 2 one year olds, 2 three year olds and one 6 year old...can you see why I say "chaos"!!! It is so much fun getting to see everyone so often, and it's one of the things that helps get me through the week! The older kids play really well, and the younger ones get into things really well! Sometimes we even get to talk in between chasing kids around!

These babies have no patience!

I was busy warming up some more baby food, when I turned around and saw the boys helping each other out! If you can't have more baby food, why not suck on your brother's hand?

They are interacting with each other so much now. They are always looking for each other and reaching for one another. I'm looking forward to them playing together and being best buds!

In the world of a 3 year old!!!

The other day, Carter and I were sitting in the living room talking. I asked him if he knew who the new president was. His eyes lit up and he replied "Sure I do! It's Michael Phelps!" I couldn't stop laughing, because he just knew that he had the right answer!

The boys are growing up so fast. I just can't believe they are six months old already! These little guys are so much fun. They both have such great little personalities. They think their big sister and big brother are sooo funny! Carter really loves being the comedian...he knows that even when we don't think he's funny, the babies will!

And of course, daddy and Ava came home and had to try to out-do us! Theirs might have been bigger, but guess which snow man was still standing in the morning and which one had fallen over??!!
