Week in Maui

Nick and I had an amazing time in Maui last week with a big group of friends from high school. We all went for our friend Abby's wedding, and we had such a good time. It was Nick's first time to Hawaii, and my second, so we took full advantage of our time without kids and tried everything.

We met friends at Bubba Gumps for dinner. My friend Sarah's husband, my friend Erika's husband and I rocked the Forrest Gump Trivia!

The best pork i've EVER had! It was amazing!

Road to Hana-this one just loves to get his picture taken!

A beautiful beach that we stopped at on our Road to Hana trek

We kept on seeing these trees...not sure what they were, but they were gorgeous.

We jumped in this cold pool and swam under the waterfall. A nice man took our picture. It was freezing!

This beach had some big waves- the almost knocked me and Brittani over. Don't you love how our husbands are laughing in the background!

Brittani and I braved Black Rock! I have jumped off of anything that high. (I think it's about 25 feet.) We jumped from where Nick was standing at the very top, and it looked much higher from the top looking down. (Brittani is above with the pink bathing suit, and I'm right below her in the black.) We had so much fun we went up and did it again!

We hung out at my friend Sarah's hotel (right by Black Rock) all day. They had a lazy river, a beautiful beach, and a really good restaurant and poolside bar. What more did we need?

Abby's Wedding Day- I didn't anticipate the tears that would go along with her wedding. As most of you know, I took her wedding pictures, so tears and a view finder don't go well together. I ended up doing alright, and got ahold of myself. Abby and Clint's wedding was beautiful!

Back to July

I went to California in July to visit my sister, her husband, and their two kids. Felicia had a baby boy 2 weeks earlier, so I went to help her with him. We got Koby's room set up, his clothes hung and organized, all of her baby shopping done and her house whipped back into shape.
The twins were 9 months old when her little girl, Akyra, was born. I obviously couldn't go visit then, so it was really great to get to do it this time. We had such a great visit, and I'm really hoping to make it an annual tradition!! (I just need to convince Nick!)

We took the water bus across the harbor and went to a cute little place called fishermen's village. The little shops were adorable, and we stopped to have lunch and look around. Then we rode the water bus all around the harbor. It was beautiful! It was fun watching people paddle board all around us.

Can you believe that she had just had a baby a few weeks before this??!

Daddy-Boy time

Nick got home from work yesterday morning around 6, woke Carter up, and took him fishing down at the river. Carter was so excited to have some "daddy-boy time" and was grinning from ear to ear as he proudly showed me their catch!

Winthrop/Bridgeport- 2011

We had so much fun in Wintrop and Bridgeport last week. In Winthrop, we tubed the Methow River, walked around town and got ice cream, drove down to Lake Pearrygin, hiked, rented a cool double bike, and played and played in the pool. In Bridgeport we camped by our friends, Ben and Jessica's house, went tubing, played on the beach, drank a Margarita or two, and had a great time.

Carter LOVED tubing!
Weston and Remi were buddies- she said he's her boyfriend because he's so nice to her. :) Older Woman- Go Weston!
When we got in the boat, Coleson kept on repeating "No go in the water." He changed his mind when he saw how much fun all the other kids were having, and he loved it!
Ben and Nick were kind to us and didn't flip us off...I was very surprised!

I forgot how sore you are the next day! Fun at the beach
Nick solemn skiing- he was awesome!
What do you think the weight limit is on this thing??!!

She definitely doesn't get that from me!

Now we're definitely over the weight limit!
