The boys at 10 months

My new favorite picture of Weston
Coleson- so close to crawling...but still not quite there
So much attitude for a baby!
Baby News: Weston is all over and into everything! He now follows me everywhere and wants to be picked up all the time. He is always crawling all over Coleson and knocking him over. Coleson, even though he isn't crawling, still manages to scoot all over too. I never really see him move much, (besides in circles!) but he ends up on the other side of the living room somehow! Coleson has got to be a pound or two heavier than Weston...he is getting so HEAVY, especially when I'm carrying both at the same time. Coleson is clapping now and is so proud of himself. When we say "pattycake" he squeels and starts doing it... so cute! We are pretty much done with breastfeeding...they don't need me anymore. :( I still try at every feeding,(usually with no success) but they want to gulp down their bottles and be on their way. I'm so sad that this chapter is closing, but the freedom does feel a little nice. I guess they have made the decision for me, so there isn't much I can do. Also, we go back to the doctor this week to check their ears. If they still have ear infections, we will probably have to see an ear, nose and throat doctor about getting tubes. Let's just hope it doesn't come to that. Anyways, the boys are doing great and growing fast!

A note for a friend

Ava's friend Kloe broke her collar bone, so Ava decided to make her a get well card. She did it all by herself- the little note she wrote just melts my heart!

TRANSLATION: Kloe, I hope you feel better soon. Love Ava

Backyard BBQ

Fun in the backyard with the new slip-n-slide!
Ready with their boogie boards
Go Aiden!
Makayla played in the water the longest...she was shivering so much and still didn't want to be done!
Carter having a blast
Ava getting soaked
Nick's family came over for memorial day. It was a little windy, but thanks to daddy, the kids had warm water on the slip-n-slide. They are so SPOILED! Grandma Natalie even joined in the fun!

Akyra Kay is here!

My sister had her baby at 9:30 tonight! I am so relieved that she's here and healthy. She was a whopping 9 pounds... pretty impressive considering how tiny my sister is. She had her naturally and did a great job! We love you baby Akyra!!!

A Wonderful Day!

This was my first Mother's Day as a mother of 4! I just felt so blessed today! Blessed because I was chosen by God to raise these amazing little people. Blessed because I get to spend every day watching them grow and teaching them new things. Blessed because they are all healthy and happy and beautiful! Blessed because I have an amazing husband and father for my kids who would do anything for us! Blessed. These are a few things that I love about each of them:

Ava Jean- She is such a good person. a wonderful daughter and an awesome big sister. She is responsible, caring, loving and compassionate. She amazes me every day with her intelligence and eagerness to learn. She is a perfectionist and a pleaser. She is also a really good friend and makes friends wherever she goes. I love our craft times and girls days! I look forward to many years of girl days with Ava while all the boys are out fishing!

Carter Scott- He is my sweet little boy. I love our cuddles and cartoons in the morning and our stories and smooches at night. He is my big helper- he is always willing to do little jobs, even without me asking. He takes the baby food jars out to the recyling for me every day! I even caught him cleaning the oven the other day with 409 and a washcloth! So sweet! Carter makes me laugh every single day, even when I am trying to discipline him!

Weston James- He is such a laid back little guy with such a sweet personality! He laughs and smiles at the drop of a hat. He is so content to just play on the floor or sit in the stroller. He is quite the little wrestler already...he loves to roll around on the floor with daddy and his big brother! Weston is my curious guy...he has to touch and feel anthing and everything he can get those hands on! He is my early riser out of the four kids, but I am always happy to get up and get my Weston snuggles...even at 6 am! (With my coffee in hand!)

Coleson John- He is my little kissy man! He doesn't do it for just anyone, which makes it even more special for me! He is serious a lot of the time, but can turn into a little giggly goof ball if he's in the right mood. He is the master binky stealer, toy swiper and food sneaker! (Weston's food, that is!) He's my sweet little lazy boy who really can't be motivated, bribed or tricked into doing anything that he doesn't feel like doing. He is already so impatient too! When I take too long to get his food, he grunts at me until he gets a bite! It's cute now, but maybe not when he's a teenager!

I thank God every day for these little miracles that I get to call mine!

Our 20 Pounders

That's right, they've both hit the big 20 pound mark!!! And I know some of you have bets going on who's bigger??? It's Coleson John, by 3 ounces! He weighs 20 lbs. 8 oz. and Weston weighs 20 lbs. 5 oz! Coleson is also longer and his head is bigger! The little man is 30 inches long! Weston is 29 3/4. I think it would be pretty funny if these boys pass up Ava and Carter's one year weights...Ava was 22 lbs. and Carter was 21 lbs. Yay for preemies! The boys both have ear infections again too, but the doctor says that since they aren't fussy or in pain, we won't treat them with antibiotics. We have to go back again next month to make sure that they're gone, otherwise we need to see an ear, nose and throat doctor. I'm really hoping that they ear infections are just from colds, and they will go away on their own. Anyways, the check-up went well (thanks to my amazing friend Megan who came along to help!) and the boys are looking great!
