Pictures- 15 months and 4 1/2 years

As I was driving home from church on Sunday, I was going past the park and spotted all of the gorgeous leaves on the ground. I just had to take the twin's 15 month pictures there! The colors were amazing, and the boys did really well. Coleson, who usually isn't into the pictures, did so well. Weston shed a few tears, but I got some good shots of him too. I also managed to get a good one of Carter. (and only one!)

It is near impossible to get this boy to hold still, open his eyes and smile. I probably took about 100 pictures of him, and this is the only one that I ended up loving!
P.S. I weighed all of the kids today:
Ava- 47 pounds
Carter- 44 pounds (*look out Ava, here he comes!)
Weston- 22 pounds
Coleson- 24 pounds (can you tell which one of the twins is the good eater??!)

Scrapbooking Saturday

Here are some of the pages that I got done during my full day of scrapbooking on Saturday! I met some friends at Master's Brew, in Everson, where we went in a little room and scrapped the day away! I had such a good time- thanks girls! We did a speed scrap, (created a page with step by step instructions in 1 hour) which ended up not being very speedy- we probably took about 2 hours! The page at the bottom is the one that I made during the speed scrap. I got 5 pages done, learned some new techniques, and got a few new kits! In this post I added a few pages that I've made since Saturday, and didn't add one from Saturday that is still looking pretty sad. :)

Instead of loading all of Ava's soccer pics, I was lazy and just did the scrapbook page. Click on page to enlarge.

Just the Boys

When we just had Ava, I would always say that I wanted a boy someday for this reason: So when he's all grown up, he can come home and wrap his big arms around me and tell me that he loves me. I know that girls can do the same thing, but there's just something about a boy and his mama. Now I'll have 3 big strong sons with 6 great big arms to give their mom some great big hugs with!

What's new with the boys:
Carter- I love pre-school! My best friend is Dawson, and my favorite things about pre-school are story time and playing on the playground. I have a great memory, and can quote movie lines like you wouldn't believe. I always remember the worst parts to repeat at very innappropriate times. :)
Weston- My newest trick is climbing up on the kitchen chairs, and then getting right up onto the table. I am also tall enought to grab things off of the kitchen table and counters. I have an ear infection right now, so I am kind of grumpy. I really like to be held all of the time, and I think it's funny when mommy can't get anything done. I am also very loud and never stop talking!
Coleson- I love to play by myself and am very quiet. Daddy is my favorite person right now, and I cry if anyone takes me away from him. I don't throw fits very often and am a pretty patient little guy. I love to play peek-a-boo with my twin brother- it's just so funny! I also love playing in the toilet, but my mommy never lets me do it and I can't figure out why?

Hailey and Ava- goofy girls and sleep-over fun!

We made some pizza for dinner, and had an innocent little flour fight. Hailey decided to take it up a notch and this was the result. (Yes, she did that to herself!) She fit in very well with our crazy kids!
Crazy girls!Ava apparently needed a little flour in her hair too!
The girls and I put some jewels in their hair, and then they let Carter join in on the fun. Won't this look so cute in his wedding slide show?!! Click on the picture to zoom in. :)
Bumper cars!
The girls had such a good time, and Hailey was such a sweetie. Thanks Kathy for letting us borrow her! Sorry to the Scheib's for the late night soccer game in the backyard- hopefully Ethan is a sound sleeper!

Kids in school + babies napping = scrapbook time!

What I did during naptime today

I was sad that Carter was leaving me to go to preschool, but I have filled the void with a little daytime scrapbooking! I usually only go on the computer at night when all of the kids are in bed, but my new daytime computer time is just one of the little "perks" of having the kids in school! Carter's in school 2 days a week, which is perfect for both of us. My new routine during the babies naptime is: start a pot of coffee, quick finish up some housework while coffee is brewing, then sit down with a hot cup and let the creative juices flow! I know that I could use the time to catch up on other things like ironing and dusting, but I don't!

Parenting Problems

I have a problem...I can't discipline this little boy with a straight look on my face these days. He knows that mom has a weakness for his humor, so he takes full advantage of it. Last time I had to spank him, he fell on the floor laughing after I did it and I ended up right next to him laughing right along. He is just so darn cute and says the FUNNIEST things. Nick has the same problem with keeping a straight face lately too, but I think I'm a little worse. Example of some good Carter humor- Tonight at dinner, Carter told Ava to leave him alone or he was going to "kick her nuts". Terrible, I know, but also really funny coming from a 4 year old. I asked him where he heard that word, and he said daddy. Daddy, of course, completely denied it. (But I'm siding with Carter on this one.) Sorry if the Nuts thing offended anyone...it's Nick's fault. :)

3 boys...really?

The top 5 reasons that I should have had all girls:

1. Dec. 2008- Carter swallowing a nickle and having to get it extracted in the O.R.
2. June 2009- Carter falling head first into the coffee table and splitting his eyebrow wide open.
3. July 2009- Carter deciding on one of the 1st days of swimming lessons that he could swim in the deep end, and my fully clothed friend Jessica having to dive in to save him.
4. July 2009- Carter falling into the fire pit while camping and burning his hands. (Even though he was completely laying with this whole body in the fire...lucky boy.)
5. Today- Carter slamming the back of his head into the entertainment center, running into the kitchen so upset that he couldn't even breathe, and then turning blue, going limp and passing out on the kitchen floor...Thank God daddy was home because mommy completely lost it. (We think he must have hyperventilated- he was so upset and just couldn't get a breath in.)

Everyone tells me that he is a typical boy...but come on, really??? I would like to see someone top this list, especially considering that all of these happened in a 9 month period to one little boy with a super panicky mom! I just don't know what to do with this fireball of a kid. (Now is not the time to remind me that there will be 2 of them following in his footsteps, I already know!) All I can say is this boy must have a lot of guardian angels out there...and I have a feeling they only get a break when he's sleeping!
