Carter's 3rd Birthday Party!!!

Carter's Diego party was so much fun! The kids got to play outside, which was so great considering what the weather forecast was saying! Ava, Carter, Ella, Kyler and Aiden had so much fun playing together. Carter got a lot of cool boy toys and loved his Diego cake. When we sang Happy Birthday, Carter sang along- it was pretty cute! I can't believe my baby is already 3! Boy does time fly when you're having fun!

The Farmer's Day Parade

We rode on a hay wagon pulled by one of Grandpa Al's tractors through the parade in memory of my grandpa, who died on May 18. Grandpa Al always drove one of his tractors in the parade and usually had one of the grandkids on his knee! We put the pedal tractors that grandpa gave Grant and Carter for Christmas on the hay wagon and they sat on them while Tom drove us through the parade. There was a sign on the wagon that said "In memory of our Grandpa Al. Sept. 12, 1930- May 18,2008. It was really hard, but we are so glad we did it. So many of grandpa's tractor buddies thanked us for doing it and many got choked up. He is missed by so many people already, and it's only been 3 weeks. WE LOVE YOU GRANDPA!

More house pictures

The siding is on, now we are working on the inside

Roof is on, time to put up the siding!
Dry wall is done!

Before insulation
We are in the home stretch! The mud, tape and texture is going to happen this week. The floors are all ordered and will be here within the next week or two. The doors and trim are in the garage, waiting to be stained.....by me. Nick and his dad are working on the corner fireplace, which isn't going as well as planned! He blames it on the fact that I am picky, but I'm really not! He just is a perfectionist and so is his dad, which makes for some pretty slow going at times. In the end, they always come up with something amazing and I always love what they build for me!

Carter painting and sleeping

He's a natural...I couldn't get him to stop!
This is going to be worth a lot of money some day!

Too tired to Eat!!!

Easter 2008

Carter and Ava had so much fun at the annual family easter egg hunt! We got way too much candy. Don't worry, I have cut Carter's hair since then. That last picture is scary, why do I listen to grandma Natalie when she tells me that she loves it long...she's crazy!!!!

Our "BIG BUILD"!

We've made quite some progress on our addition since the first picture on April 1. We are hoping to have it completed by June. The roof goes up on Wednesday and the shingles will probably be on within the next week. The plumbing, electrical and insulation are all lined up too. How many trips to Westside can one guy make in a day?!! Poor Nick, he has been so busy getting bids and running around picking up supplies. What a guy!

Sport's day at preschool

Ava had sports day at preschool. I wanted her to be a cheerleader, but as you can see, she didn't agree! She loved painting her face and felt pretty cool wearing her cleats to school.

Carter is such a silly boy!

Carter is sitting in the kitchen watching Dora on the computer. He managed to look away for 2 seconds to give me a little smile. Movies are great right now because he actually sits still and doesn't run around breaking things! You gotta love this boy!

Carter figured out how to drive the Jeep. We were cracking up because he could actually steer really well! Ava didn't learn until last year, and she still isn't the best driver. Nick would say she takes after me, but I disagree! Anyways, Ava got my camera and took these 2 pictures....not bad!

The Cousins

We took some cute pictures at dinner the other night of Ava and Carter with their cousins Aiden, Kausten, and their new baby cousin Makayla. Ava is just in heaven playing "mommy" to all of her little cousins. She even got Aiden's pajamas on for him that night. The picture of her with the 2 babies is the perfect example of how she is! The bottom picture of the boys just cracks me up. They couldn't look more bored! In these pictures Ava is 5, Carter is 2 1/2, Aiden is 2, Kausten is 5 months and Makayla is 9 days. Before we know it there will be 2 more!

Carter's ready to go outside!

Ava went outside to play with her friends, and Carter decided that he wanted to go too. He was in his room for about 10 minutes "getting ready", and this is how he came out. He came running out of his bedroom and went straight out the front door! I caught him, took some pictures, fixed his hat and added some pants and shoes. Nick and I were cracking up! Boys!!!
