Sport's day at preschool

Ava had sports day at preschool. I wanted her to be a cheerleader, but as you can see, she didn't agree! She loved painting her face and felt pretty cool wearing her cleats to school.

Carter is such a silly boy!

Carter is sitting in the kitchen watching Dora on the computer. He managed to look away for 2 seconds to give me a little smile. Movies are great right now because he actually sits still and doesn't run around breaking things! You gotta love this boy!

Carter figured out how to drive the Jeep. We were cracking up because he could actually steer really well! Ava didn't learn until last year, and she still isn't the best driver. Nick would say she takes after me, but I disagree! Anyways, Ava got my camera and took these 2 pictures....not bad!

The Cousins

We took some cute pictures at dinner the other night of Ava and Carter with their cousins Aiden, Kausten, and their new baby cousin Makayla. Ava is just in heaven playing "mommy" to all of her little cousins. She even got Aiden's pajamas on for him that night. The picture of her with the 2 babies is the perfect example of how she is! The bottom picture of the boys just cracks me up. They couldn't look more bored! In these pictures Ava is 5, Carter is 2 1/2, Aiden is 2, Kausten is 5 months and Makayla is 9 days. Before we know it there will be 2 more!

Carter's ready to go outside!

Ava went outside to play with her friends, and Carter decided that he wanted to go too. He was in his room for about 10 minutes "getting ready", and this is how he came out. He came running out of his bedroom and went straight out the front door! I caught him, took some pictures, fixed his hat and added some pants and shoes. Nick and I were cracking up! Boys!!!

Ava, Carter and "Frosty"

These guys love playing in the snow so much. Ava lives for building snow men, so we decided it would be fun to build a little one. She has been learning all about snow men in preschool, so this snow man was extra exciting. She used her doll's hat, raisins for eyes, a little carrot for the nose and pretzel sticks for the arms. She made it mostly by herself and named it "Frosty"! It melted the next day, which she wasn't too happy about.

LITTLE MUSCLE MAN!

Carter was cracking us up in his little boxer briefs. He is always showing off his "muscles". I just couldn't resist taking pictures of the little show he was giving us. His little underwear are seriously the cutest thing ever!

Christmas 2007

Christmas was very busy this year, but it was a lot of fun! The kids got too many toys, but that's partly my fault! It's too hard not to spoil them! Carter got some really great presents this year; daddy made him a work bench full of tools and grandpa Al got him his own pedal tractor. Ava got a digital camera, a Dora bowling set, fleece lined crocs and much more. We made a gingerbread house this year and discovered that daddy is better at decorating than mommy- who would have thought. I blame it on the 2 year old that was helping me with the frosting, but I'll let him win this one. It was messy but so much fun. The kids loved having it displayed because they could snack on it throughout the day! Sneaky little things!

Ava's 5th Birthday Party!!!

Ava is 5 years old already! I can't believe how fast it went. She had a fun "Hello Kitty" birthday party. She got so many fun presents! Ava's friends Ashlyn and Kyler were such a big help when it came to opening presents!

Ava and Kyler's big day at Disney on Ice

Megan got us all tickets to Disney on Ice-Princess Wishes for Ava's 5th Birthday. We spent the day shopping and having such a good time. We went to a restaurant in Seattle called Rainforest Cafe before the show, which was really fun for the girls. The elephants and gorillas were a little too noisy for Kyler, so Megan made some ear plugs out of napkins! Then we went to Key Arena for Disney on Ice and the girls were clueless. We kept it a secret all day, which made it even more exciting to see the looks on their faces when the music came on and the skaters came out. Megan and I were even excited about it. They got to see Aladdin and Jasmine, Cinderella, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Tinkerbell, and many more of their favorites! We stopped at Target after it was over (bottom picture) and the girls were pretending they were skating princesses!!! We had a truly memorable day- what a great birthday present!

October Fun!!! Pumpkin Patch, Halloween, Harvest Party and Harvest Festival!

Ava and Carter had so much fun this fall!! We went to the Harvest Festival with cousins Aiden and Kausten. The kids went on the train, wagon ride and through the hay maze. We went to the Pumpkin Patch and also carved/painted pumpkins at Grandpa Rick and Grandma Natalie's house.
Every year we have a Harvest Party with my family. The kids dress up and we do a hay ride, candy hunt, pinata and lots of pictures. There are also some pictures of "Dora and Diego" on Halloween doing our Trick or treating.
